TAY THIEN - TAM DAO

DAY 1: HANOI - TAY THIEN - TAM DAO          ( - / L  / D ) 

07h30-08h00: Car and tour guide pick you up at the Old Quarter or the Opera House to depart for the tour to visit Tam Dao. 

09h00: Arrive at Tay Thien scenic area. You will walk to visit the  Great Mandala Stupa modeled after the Indian style. Then visit  Thong Temple with the nine-root banyan tree . Then you can choose one of two options: 

  • Option 1: You will walk to visit  Truc Lam Zen Monastery , one of the schools for Buddhist monks and nuns in our country. Visit the Drum Tower, Bell Tower, classrooms... Reaching the highest floor of the Zen Monastery, you will be able to see from Heaven down to the earth, a rare sight. 
  • Option 2: Conquering Tay Thien peak. You will take the cable car to admire the majestic mountains and forests of Tay Thien, and see Bac Waterfall from the cable car cabin. Reaching the top of the cable car, you will continue to conquer Tay Thien peak with a series of works such as: Co Chin temple, Mau Dia temple, Thuong Quoc Mau temple, Tay Thien pagoda … ( not including Tay Thien cable car ticket price ). 

11h30: Lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, you continue by car to Tam Dao. 

13h00: Arriving in Tam Dao, you can visit and take pictures of the beautiful scenery around the town such as:  Tam Dao central square , colorful neighborhood with unique architecture; Take pictures with  Tam Dao stone church  with unique architecture built in the first decade of the 20th century, located in the center of Tam Dao town, on the road leading to the top of Thien Son mountain. . 

14h00: Tour guide takes you on a walking tour to visit: 

  • Thác Bạc Tam Đảo (the Silver waterfall) : The path down to Thac Bac is not too long, but it is steep and vertical. To get here, you have to climb the green stone steps. The path is carved into the mountain, with mountains on one side and abysses on the other.. 
  • Quán Gió Tam Đảo : This is an extremely famous cafe to sip a hot cup of coffee (at your own expense) and admire the majestic, poetic scenery of this land. 

18h00: Dinner. Free evening to relax, enjoy the fresh and cool air in Tam Dao town at night. Overnight in Tam Dao town. 

DAY 2: FREE IN TAM DAO TOWN - HANOI         ( B / L  / - ) 

07h00: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning you can choose: 

  • Free time to relax, walk around Tam Dao town to take pictures. Enjoy a cup of coffee at the famous The Rock Cafe. 
  • Or freely conquer  Tam Dao Television Tower , which is 1,400m above sea level, by climbing 1,400 stone steps leading to Thien Nhi peak. Feel the feeling of a person conquering the peak, taking a deep breath of the cool, fresh air of Tam Dao. Visit the  Ba Chua Thuong Ngan temple (temple of the Lady of the Upper Realm) on the way to conquer the TV tower. 

11h00: You are at the hotel to check out and have lunch. 

14h00: Car picks you up to Hanoi. 

15h30-16h00: Arrive in Hanoi. End of Tam Dao trip. See you again!

Children policy

Children policy   (Please read carefully to fully understand the standard price for children): 

  • Children aged 1-4 years old receive free service; only the car seat fee will be charged. (According to the new regulations on the maximum number of people per type of vehicle under the Road Traffic Law.). 

Note:  Parents are responsible for any other incidental expenses. Two adults are only allowed to be accompanied by one child (aged 1-4 years); from the second child onwards, 75% of the tour price will be charged. If one adult is accompanied by one child (aged 1-4 years), that child must also pay 75% of the adult's tour price (with the same standards as a 75% adult child).  

  • Children aged 5-9 years old are charged 75% of the tour price (including meals, entrance tickets for children if included in the tour for adults, and a separate seat on the bus, but must share a bed with their parents for tours of 2 days or more that include hotel accommodation).. 
  • Children aged 10 and above are charged the adult price. The same standards as adults apply.. 
  • In cases where the tour includes entrance fees to attractions, but children are required to purchase adult tickets due to exceeding the height limit, parents will have to pay the difference directly to the tour guide.
