Explore Northern Vietnam in 5 Days 4 Nights: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Halong Bay

Board a traditional boat and begin exploring the stunning scenery of Tam Coc. The boat gently cruises along the winding river between towering limestone mountains, passing through three natural caves. Unique stalactites and stalagmites, combined with the peaceful surroundings, create a truly impressive landscape.

After approximately two hours of boat sightseeing, return to shore and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, featuring Ninh Binh specialties.

In the afternoon, continue to explore Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the first capital of the centralized feudal state of Vietnam during the 10th–11th centuries. Visit the historic sites and the temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, while learning more about this important period in Vietnamese history

After sightseeing, return to Hanoi.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant.

Day 3: Half-Day Hanoi City Tour – Hanoi – Ha Long Bay | Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, begin your journey to discover some of Hanoi’s most iconic cultural and historical landmarks.

Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, and One Pillar Pagoda – one of the capital’s most distinctive architectural symbols. Continue to The Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy, Vietnam’s first national university and an important cultural and educational heritage site.

After the sightseeing tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, leave Hanoi and travel to Ha Long Bay. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours, passing through the vast countryside and fertile plains of Northern Vietnam. A short rest stop will be made in the Sao Do area along the way.

Upon arrival in Ha Long, check in at the hotel and enjoy some free time to relax or take in the seaside atmosphere.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, followed by free time to explore Ha Long at night.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay Discovery – Return to Hanoi | Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bai Chay Pier to begin your journey exploring Ha Long Bay, one of Vietnam’s most famous natural wonders.

The approximately four-hour cruise takes you through the emerald waters of the bay, where hundreds of limestone islands and islets rise dramatically from the sea.

The journey includes visits to highlights such as Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave, home to spectacular natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites in a variety of fascinating shapes

Continue cruising through the bay and admire famous formations including Huong Islet, Trong Mai Islets, Canh Buom Islet, Turtle Islet, and many other distinctive limestone formations.

A seafood lunch will be served on board, allowing you to enjoy delicious local cuisine while taking in the breathtaking scenery of Ha Long Bay.

After completing the bay cruise, return to Hanoi in the afternoon.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show, one of Vietnam’s unique performing arts, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Hanoi – Airport Drop-off | Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time to relax or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs before concluding your journey.

At the scheduled time, your driver and tour guide will transfer you to Noi Bai International Airport for your flight home.
